“We worked in collaboration with Paul Gilzene at 80six Limited and the extended team in re-purposing an area of their warehouse, creating a bespoke XR studio and delivered a series of live multi-lingual webcasts to a Europe wide audience. I’d recommend the team at 80six - if you have any live event or virtual event requirements, the service and dedication to duty is second to none.”

Custom-built xR stages on location
80six has a track record of building xR stages at scale, as per a client’s requirements. We take pride in our flexibility to set up these stages and manage the xR workflow outside of the studios.
We recently built a temporary xR stage and managed the entire xR pipeline for Notting Hill Carnival 2020 which went virtual due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
The producers of the first-ever digital version of the iconic carnival enlisted 80six and Dimension to deliver the technical backbone for the 3-day long broadcast.
The custom-built xR stage displayed a realistic “Notting Hill Street’ as the backdrop for the presenters throughout the long weekend. Powered by Disguise GX2c servers, the main xR stage consisted of ROE Visual Diamond panels (DM2) walls, ROE Black Magic LED floor (BM4), and a Stype camera tracking system.
The biggest technical and logistical challenge was to seamlessly live broadcast two streams of content for up to 15 hours a day from a single stage.
